His 2017 Commonwealth Historical visit to the United Kingdom
Ọọ̀ni’rìsà of Ilé-Ifẹ̀ Oba Adéyeyè
Enitan Ògúnwùsì (Òjàjà II) is the 51st Ooni of Ife. The Ooni of Ife is
the traditional ruler of Ilé-Ifẹ̀ whose dynasty goes back hundreds of
years.
In line with the yearly history of rich
tradition of Commonwealth celebration which is geared toward the
promotion of mutually respectful, cultural values, peaceful and
prosperous and that also “cherishes equality, diversity and shared
values” of all member states, His Imperial Majesty Oba Adéyeyè Enitan
Ògúnwùsì (Òjàjà II) will be officially visiting the United Kingdom in
March 2017 as part of his commitment and allegiance to the greatness of
the Commonwealth Day celebration and his global outreach.
His Imperial Majesty Oba Ògúnwùsì (Òjàjà
II) ascended the stool as the Ọọ̀ni’rìsà of Ilé-Ifẹ̀, the Àrólé Odùduwà
and Father of all Yorùbá people and race on the 7th December
2015. His Imperial Majesty would be involved in a number of events
including the Commonwealth day observance service and Commonwealth
Africa summit holding on the 13th and 14th of March 2017 where he is
expected as a keynote speaker and a Special guest of Honour laying
wreath at the Memorial Gate to honour Africans who died in the 2 World
War.

Official Visit to the British Museum
The iconic world respected museum led over 50,000 participants to the exhibition of sculpture and other artefacts from Ife in 2010 entitled, “Kingdom of Ife: Sculptures from West Africa”. It was an historical three months exhibition that attracted huge British community and was graciously attended by His Royal Highness, Alayeluwa Oba Okunade Sijuwade II under the initiative of the British Museum management.
His Imperial Majesty Oba Adéyeyè Enitan Ògúnwùsì (Òjàjà II) and His entourage will have an official tour of the Kingdom of Ife Archive, other African objects, artefacts, and special materials that are housed at the British museum. His Majesty will be meeting the British museum management to engage in high level discussion on the preservation of African artefacts, and to consider areas of partnership and collaboration.
Móremí Ajasaro: Musical Masterpiece in London
As an iconic figure of historical significance in Yoruba nation, Móremí Ajasoro
is triumphing both in the bodies of knowledge and artistic world. Her
new statue in the modern Yoruba nation as recently unveiled by His
Imperial Majesty Oba Adéyeyè Enitan Ògúnwùsì (Òjàjà II) remains the
third tallest in Africa. The artistic dexterity of her operatic work is
being championed by cultural lovers, admirers, and new generation of
scholars. With an epic of romance, sacrifice and bravery, His Imperial
Majesty Oba Adéyeyè Ògúnwùsì and his entourage are bid to enjoy a new
twist to this operatic dominance during His histrical commonwealth

Celebration of His Majesty as the Promoter of African Culture
The Old Royal Palace of Queen Elizabeth I at the Hatfield House

Rescuing Generation in Peril?-Impacts of African Culture in Modern British Society (Academic Lecture)
The recent advocacy of fostering inter-cultural dialogue as a

Historic visit to Oxford
On the 22 of March 2017, King Ogunwusi will visit Oxford he is expected to arrive 11 am were he will be received by MOHAMMED Altaf-Khan the Mayor of Oxford at the Oxford Town Hall St Aldate's, Oxford, OX1 1BX .
Here he will meet with the Mayor of Oxford and other councilors, after which he will deliver a lecture at the Nissan Lecture Theater St Anthony's College Oxford University, lecture will start 12 o'clock, followed by an Award Ceremony, and a book launch titled VENERATED, this is an authorised biography of the path that led King Ogunwusi to ascension of the throne.
His last visit in Oxford will be to the Pitt Rivers Museum
